Privacy Policy
For the Cloud Storage Android app
Effective date: October 29, 2026 · Last updated: October 29, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how Mi Tech Apps ("we", "us", or "our") handles information when you use Cloud Storage and its related backup, restore, file-management, and sharing features (the "Service").
1. Information we handle
- Account information: If you sign in with Google, we receive your Google account identifier, email address, and profile name to authenticate you and associate your files with your account. Guest sessions use a service-generated account identifier. Device model information may be sent for guest-session security and support.
- Files and file details: When you choose to back up or share files, we process their contents and associated details such as file name, type, size, category, and storage identifiers. Contacts are processed only when you choose the contacts backup or restore feature. Scans, signatures, and edited media are handled when you use those features.
- Subscription information: Google Play processes payment. We receive and store the product and purchase-token information needed to verify your subscription and apply the correct storage entitlement. We do not receive your payment card or bank account number.
- Feedback: If you submit in-app feedback, we store the topics you selected, your comment, and any rating. Signed-in feedback is associated with your account; guest feedback is stored without an account link.
- Device, security, and network information: We process app/session identifiers, device-key information used to protect sessions, app and operating-system details, IP address, and request metadata needed to operate, secure, and troubleshoot the Service.
- Analytics and diagnostics: If you accept the app’s data-consent choice, Firebase Analytics, Crashlytics, and Performance may process app interaction, crash, and performance information.
- Advertising: The free version may show ads through Google Mobile Ads. Depending on your region and choices, Google may process device or advertising identifiers and ad interactions to deliver and measure ads. Google’s consent tools and device settings provide additional choices.
- Notifications: If messaging and notifications are enabled, Firebase Cloud Messaging may process an app/device token to deliver service notifications.
2. Device permissions
The app requests access when you use a feature that needs it. Depending on your Android version and choices, this can include shared files and media, contacts, camera, and notifications. Shared-storage access is used to select, back up, restore, or process files; contacts access is used for contact backup or restore; camera access is used for capture features; notifications show service and transfer updates. You can manage Android permissions in your device settings.
3. How we use information
- Provide account sign-in, cloud backup, restore, storage management, and file sharing.
- Maintain storage quotas, verify Google Play subscriptions, and respond to support or feedback requests.
- Protect accounts and files, prevent abuse, diagnose errors, and improve reliability.
- Show and measure ads in the free version, subject to applicable consent and settings.
- Meet legal obligations and respond to valid legal requests.
4. Sharing and service providers
We do not sell your uploaded files. We share information with service providers only as needed to operate the Service, including Google services for sign-in, Play billing, analytics, diagnostics, messaging, and advertising, and cloud hosting and storage providers.
When you create a Quick Share link, you choose its access scope. A public link can be used by anyone who has the link; a signed-in-only link requires the recipient to sign in. Share links are view/download links, can be revoked, and expire after the period you select (1, 3, 7, or 30 days). Recipients may download a shared file while the link is valid.
5. Storage and security
Connections to our service use HTTPS/TLS. Cloud files are encrypted at rest using AES-256. Access to files is controlled through your account and the sharing choices you make.
Some gallery organization and classification features analyze images on the device using ML Kit. Images used for this on-device classification are not uploaded for that classification.
6. Retention and deletion
- Cloud files remain until you delete them or your account deletion completes. Files moved to Trash are automatically purged after 14 days; you can also permanently delete them sooner.
- Quick Share links expire after the selected period or when you revoke them.
- For Google-linked account deletion, access is disabled when the request is accepted. You may cancel within 48 hours; after that, cleanup starts and is targeted to complete within a further 72 hours. Guest-account deletion is handled immediately, with background cleanup following.
- Feedback submissions and analytics events are retained for limited operational periods and deleted or de-identified according to our retention processes.
You can request account deletion in the app’s Settings or contact us at mi.techsolutions130@gmail.com. Deleting your Cloud Storage account does not cancel a Google Play subscription; manage subscriptions in Google Play.
7. Your choices
You can manage Android permissions in device settings, choose whether to accept optional app analytics and diagnostics in the app’s consent flow, and manage ad choices through Google’s consent tools and device settings. You can update your profile name, delete files, revoke share links, or request account deletion in the app. Depending on your location, you may also have rights to request access, correction, or deletion of your personal information.
8. Children’s privacy
The Service is not directed to children under 13 or the minimum age required in your region. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children below the applicable age. If you believe a child has provided information to us, contact us so we can review and take appropriate action.
9. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy when the Service or our data practices change. We will update the effective/last-updated date on this page and provide an in-app notice when appropriate.
